GNC Brain Health Review: Doctor recommended mind support
Our initial thoughts of the supplement Brain Health were of trust. Not only were most online reviews of Brain Health pretty positive, but for some reason, when a formula is manufactured by a famous nutritional supplement store, as is Brain Health, we seem to automatically trust the formula. While this may be true in general, we certainly wanted to investigate and study the manufacturer and formula a bit further.
Manufacturer and website:
Brain Health is produced by General Nutrition Corporation’s Preventive Nutrition. GNC is an large nutritional supplement company based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the US. GNC has thousands of shops across the world and is known as a reputable provider of mind and body supplements. Obviously with such a large company, the website is going to be pretty awesome. It’s well organised and it definitely seems like it’s a website you can trust with your credit card information. So far we were impressed, but we wanted to know a bit more about the ingredients.
As you might have expected, we pretty quickly and easily found all the ingredients and amounts of each ingredient on Brain Health’s website.
Brain Health contains many ingredients. Which at first impressed us, especially when we scanned the list. And found a treasure trove of popular and generally effective ingredients. While some of the amounts were a bit low for our liking and also we thought that maybe the formula was just a bit too loaded, we were overall impressed.
The first group of ingredients included vitamins such as vitamin C, which is famous as a ‘cold fighter’. But vitamin C can also be used to treat stress related memory loss. Vitamin B6 is often used to treat dementia and ADHD while folate may help prevent age related memory loss. Vitamin B12 is known to raise and boost your mood while vitamin D3 is converted into a hormone in your body and is known to help maintain healthy brain function.
In Brain Health’s Brain Function Support Blend,
l tyrosine converts to dopamine and noradrenaline, which are thought to reduce memory deficits and promote a sense of calm. Choline turns into the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which helps control memory formation and acetyl l carnitine (ALCAR) is known to increase the production of energy in the body. Phosphatidylserine may help the young improve their thinking skills, DMAE can increase your physical and mental health and finally huperzine A helps your brain produce memories more easily.
Brain Health also contains a Blood Flow and Circulation Support Complex, which contains natural herbs such as ginkgo biloba, which has been used for years to increase blood flow to the brain, and turmeric provides natural anti inflammatory support. Resvida trans Resveratrol expands the blood vessels in your body while astaxanthin reduces the severity of neuro diseases.
Finally Brain Health contains an Antioxidant Support Blend.
In this blend is bacopa monnieri, which is a traditional medicine used to lessen the severity of anxiety related memory loss while ashwangandha acts as an adaptogen, which means it helps the body more healthily deal with stress. The final ingredients in Brain Health are ginger, while is used to reduce inflammation in the body and lutein, which is used to treat eye disorders.
Wow, well, there certainly are a lot of ingredients in Brain Health. What impressed us was how the supplement seemed to cover a wide range of ingredients. Many of which are pretty famous and popular amongst the nootropic community. However, some of amounts were a bit on the low side. But GNC is playing it safe with the doses, which in many ways is good.
We found that Brain Health was just a bit on the expensive side but not too bad. One bottle costs $40 USD on GNC’s website. But you could always join GNC’s membership club and get it for four dollars cheaper. Brain Health is also sold on certain websites such as Amazon or www.drugstore.com, and on both one bottle was about $30 USD.
Pro’s and Con’s:
- GNC is a famous and reputable company, so you can probably trust the supplement Brain Health.
- There are many ingredients in Brain Health and a few are at low doses. So you may not notice many effects.
If you’re looking for a safe supplement that you can return if you don’t like, or look for other’s opinion. Then Brain Health will do the trick for you.
