Amoryn Review: Yay or nay?
Amoryn is a mood-enhancing supplement with a formula composed of natural herbal remedies. The product aims to improve our brain chemistry and allow us to have better, more stabilized mood. While many other supplements target our cognitive functions such as memory and learning, it’s imperative to understand that our mood and our state of mind can affect a lot of things! When we’re stressed, for instance, our brains are incapable of processing information as efficiently because it’s ‘preoccupied’ with how anxious we are. In turn, our memory recall deteriorates and our ability to focus worsens. For this reason, Amoryn wants to fix the problem by targeting specifically our emotional health.
Manufacturers of Amoryn
BioNeurix Corporation are the creators of Amoryn. This company claims that their product is ‘special’ in that it works by fixing the underlying problems in the brain as opposed to simply addressing the symptoms. Since BioNeurix released Amoryn in 2003, they’ve conducted several surveys in attempt to receive feedback on their product. The results showed that up to 90% of people with depression showed improved mood and fewer episodes.

The golden ingredient in Amoryn’s formula here is St. John’s Wort extract, hyperforin. This extract has been tested many times only to prove that it can treat depression, anxiety, tiredness and migraines. By lowering stress levels, the neurons in our brains fire more efficiently without overworking themselves. Depression is a condition related to the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine, when the levels of these neurotransmitters are lowered or imbalanced, we are left feeling sad and unmotivated. Hyperforin works by preventing the uptake of these neurotransmitters, leaving more available. The result? Happier days!
5-HTP is another notable ingredient which works with serotonin. 5-HTP keeps serotonin levels balanced in the brain, which prevents us from feeling depressed. 5-HTP’s combination with Hyperforin, leaves us with elevated moods and a better mindset to stay productive.
It’s important to note that Amoryn faces a major issue in terms of dosages. In order for 5-HTP to take effect on our brains, a dose of 300-900 mg per day is necessary. In each Amoryn pill, there is only 25 mg included, Hyperforin is also recommended at 300mg a day, while Amoryn only packs 18 mg of it. Due to this reason, we wouldn’t be surprised if the pill may not work as effectively as it claimed to.

“I have high blood pressure and had to discontinue using Amoryn and any product containing SJW. SJW causes blood pressure to increase in some individuals. Use this product only if you are completely healthy without high blood pressure.”

“I have been taking the supplement for 4 years and it really works. I find I sleep better, wake up better, and have more balance in my day. When I am stressed, driving long distances, or over-tired, I take 2 capsules a day, and normally I take one. If you go to their website, you can get 6 bottles for $20 a bottle, which is about a year supply. I do not think Amoryn is the only supplement you should take, but it is the only one I won’t miss each day. It has never upset my stomach and I take it in the morning with water. Some people say it is too stimulating to take at night.
Taking a good C and B Complex, along with magnesium and iron is important. I have always been pleased with the company and its’ product. You need to take it for at least 2-3 weeks before you notice a difference. It may be so subtle that you don’t realize it. I become calmer and more rested soon after taking it.”

“This product helped me to sleep. I was stressed and anxious and I slept like a baby after taking Amoryn. There was no “hangover” the next morning either!”
Pro’s and Con’s
– Positive reviews from customers
– Proven to improve cases of depression
– Allows better sleep
– Doses of key ingredients aren’t sufficient
– No guarantee that the product will work
Although we were initially very impressed with Amoryn, we came to realize that its formula falls slightly short of success. The dose of key ingredients such as hyperforin and 5-HTP is not nearly enough for any effects to take place, which truly concerns us. However, we must point out that a few studies have been conducted to test the product and that cases of depression have been improved. Most of the customers that have experimented with Amoryn come back satisfied and yearning for more. So if you’re curious to see whether or not this product can help improve your mood, we don’t see why you shouldn’t give it a try!
